northcell ("we", "us", or "our") makes interactive spreadsheet systems for Google Sheets and Excel. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and the rights you have. It applies to northcell.co and our direct sales. 1. Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you contact us or join our email list, we collect your name, email address, and any message or details you choose to send.
- Purchase information. When you buy on northcell.co, payment is processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your billing and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive order information such as your name, email, country, and what you purchased, but not your full payment-card number.
- Technical information. Our web server automatically records standard log data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.
2. How we use your information
- To deliver your Products and provide customer support.
- To respond to your messages and requests.
- To send updates, new releases, or offers, if you asked to receive them (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our business.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Legal bases (for EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your information based on: performance of a contract (to deliver Products and support), our legitimate interests (to run and secure the business), your consent (for marketing emails, which you can withdraw), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows: (a) with service providers that help us operate, such as our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy), and email and hosting providers, and only as needed to provide the service; (b) to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and property; and (c) in connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of assets.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. Plausible Analytics is cookieless and collects only aggregate, non-identifying usage data. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which uses cookies and may capture anonymized session replays and heatmaps (aggregated interaction data such as clicks, scrolls, and mouse movement) to help us see where the Site can be improved; Clarity masks text and sensitive input by default, and its use is also subject to Microsoft's privacy practices. We do not set advertising or cross-site marketing cookies, and we do not sell your data. Our checkout provider may set cookies that are strictly necessary to process your purchase securely.
6. Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including providing support, keeping records of purchases, and meeting legal, tax, and accounting requirements, after which we delete or anonymize it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
We operate from the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Site or buying from us, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection laws than yours.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights; we do not sell your personal information. To exercise any right, email hello@northcell.co, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.
10. Children
Our Site and Products are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party sites and services (such as Etsy, Lemon Squeezy, and Google). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; their own policies apply.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version, and significant changes will be reflected here.
